I do not want to see that even more chicks will hatch. I want to see fish, otherwise it will be worse than last year.

16:18 still nothing! I can hardly believe that there was no fish delivery here all day. I am a bit shocked.

Little one peeks out and is calling. I've turned off the sound.

I have been wondering too.
Last year they had provisions by the time of hatching, if I remember correctly.

still no fish? :puzzled: :slap:

15:12 there were 2 chicks and an egg, possibly with a crack. the oldest was in the front, the second was sitting in the other half of the shell but moving. the egg was least visible in the background under Milda.

i made a close-up clip of this egg-roll. Milda clearly rolled the egg and was careful not to roll the babies.

Yes, you remember correctly. And in 2015, the whole nest was full of fish. One would be able to feed 10 chicks. For all the other nests I watched it was the same. It was always fish in the pantry.

On the other hand, yesterday it was a very early feeding. I was aware that the two other chick who came after that would have problems. Perhaps it is a conscious decision not to feed today until the others are hatched.. I'm not a eagle. But I know that the Eagles can make such decisions.. I read it. But it was in a different context.
We observe and I think we keep learning something new in every breeding season.

14:11:52 during the last change there seemed to be one chick and 2 eggs.
Image

however, they were seen only partially. larger portion of the eggs was invisible. any way, i think it it fairly reasonable to say that the 2nd chick hatched some time between 2 pm and 3 pm.

OK, no fish.

What about another kind of prey?

I cannot stand it.

Important: 2 days ago he arrived with a dark brown tail. Very dirty. Might be related?
