This female looks totally stressed in her attack on Ivo. That's not funny. This female has defended the nest! Fish or not!

I think that sometimes her different instincts get a little confused at the moment. Today I saw more often that she seemed alarmed and defended the nest. It seems to me that she herself is a little overwhelmed by the last two days.

An interesting bird visited the nest at 6:31-- I haven't seen this kind before. I'll see if I can find out what it was.
About the size of a mourning dove and similarly colored on its back (tawny brown), with lines of white spots on the wings. Long pointy beak. White belly. Light tan colored legs. Made clicking sounds. Closest thing I'm seeing online when looking at birds of Estonia is some kind of sandpiper.

Update: I think it's a Common Sandpiper.

6:36 Ivo brings a piece of bark to the nest.

Maybe it's the green Sandpiper (Tringa ochropus).

Good Morning.
Sunshine, the wind swings the nest and recently there was an attack on the nest by black ravens. This new playmate of Ivo seems to be a fighter, because she has resisted quite well and chased the ravens away. Still on of the ravens visited the nest again. This fellow is quite possessive.

Ivo brought a fish, the lady is with him in the nest but has no interest in the fish. Both turn their heads, because the raven sits on the dead tree and you can hear his loud and terrible voice kra kra kra. Ivo took off with the fish.

Wow! That would be a little sensation, in the middle of the forest. But not impossible, now for the breeding season. I take a look and make a video...

I want to send a request to all posters here in the topic ....

Please don´t forget to add the camera time to your posts and observations!

Unfortunately we have a very small time stamp at this camera and it can´t be changed, so it is very important to know the exact time of your observations to comprehend events and maybe find the moment in the video archives, in case we want/need to cut a video clip or post more pictures.

Thank you all in advance and for co-operation

Happy Easter to you all!

Yes, I think, this bird is a sandpiper. There are specimen living at creeks and lakes in woods.
A very interesting bird :2thumbsup:

Happy Easter to you all :bounce:
