The Lady was strong and proud today. :2thumbsup:

I hope she lays an egg soon and then we can give her a name.
She deserves a name after her defence of the nest today.

°°°

I've been looking for some Estonian female first names. The Estonians just have to confirm that they really exist. :D
These are my favourites:

Imari
Irja
Imbi
Ilmarina

Irja would be fine.=)

But first we need an egg would say Bea :D and still there is the chance ...a little ... that Irma returns.
Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Good night to all of you!

Ah, where are you, dearest Irma..

I like the lady a lot, but still, it feels like with Irma a huge era, a huge epoch would be gone.
She is such an amazing osprey, so vivid and vital, and such a personality. It feels so sad, now that the hope slowly fades with every day which goes by.

She was a queen of this nest for at least six seasons, since the cams are on. I am sure, if there would be osprey monuments, IRMA would deserve one..

That's for sure!

(I haven't given up on Irma yet. It is still possible.)

For me the name
Irja
is beautiful and I think that would suit our new female Osprey. It means peace, tranquility, harmony.

I really don't know what happened to Irma. She still is very special to us, like you said a osprey monument. The way she took care of all her chicks we will always remember fondly. I just hope she didn't get harmed on her journey.
This new Osprey lady is in my opinion a nice creature. She defends the nest, helps Ivo and brings nest stuff. Her eyes shows disbelieve when Ivo shows her his back. Her chirping is tender, sometimes soft and maybe Ivo will get used to this new female and both produce nice chicks.

Let's wait a few more days for Irma ...
New Lady was very brave today and protected the nest with Ivo.
But it’s too early to give a name ... First let at least one egg appear.

and one little video for this evening

My microphone is buzzing, the constant hum that does not drown out the singing of birds and the sounds of the forest. Do you like that too? On the video with another family of the Osprey doesn't have this buzz.
Is it possible to regulate remotely?

10:06 Ivo brought a very big and complicated branch to the nest and got stuck with the branch between his legs. After several attempts he got his both legs free but then it happened again. He could free himself quite quickly but the branch was still hanging in the centre of the nest. The female appeared and calmly began to arrange the branches. Ivo was in the way but the female lifted the troublemaking branch over Ivo onto the edge of the nest in its right place. Good girl!

I saw Ivo take a fish tail from under Lady's feet and taking off with it. Did Ivo bring it to her or was it lying there before? :puzzled:
Mogga, thank you. I'm fascinated how Lady settled the problem.
