Even if she was a bit confused at first, Ivo, as a now already experienced father, knew what to do instantly
He didn't waste much time and rolled the egg gently underneath him.

The lady is really so peaceful.. it's very nice to watch her. And she guards her egg and stays close to it all the time.

04:30 Good morning
It is a nice and calm morning. Birds are singing loud.
Lady is awake.



04:48 Egg alone. Osprey on the dead tree.
04:51 It was the female. She comes back to the egg. Ivo makes a 2-second landing on her back.
05:00 Ivo back on back. Mating.

05:15 Ivo is back. No fish.

05:54 Attack! An osprey flew from left to right and attacked the female. She fell from the nest.

06:42 Ivo returns many times for mating. No fish yet.
Female stays silent (Irma would be screaming for fish by now).

Ivo came out of the blue for mating. The female stays calm and Ivo didn't even bring her a fish for breakfast.

What would happen if Irma still comes? Could she knock the new woman out of the nest? Or does she feels by her instinct that she came too late.

Another mating - no fish and the lady is silent.

She left to the dead tree. Egg lies alone in the nest.

The lady is incubating her egg at present.

08:28 Ivo arrived with an awkward branch, disrupting the lady. She stepped away from the egg and Ivo is tidying up, moving bark etc. He positions himself to incubate the egg but then lifts off and attempts a mating. It didn't look successful. Ivo flies away. The lady seems unsure and watchful, has not sat back over the egg yet.

08:34 She flies to the dead tree. The egg is alone and exposed.

08:38 She has left the dead tree and flew in the general direction of the nest. I heard her (I think it's her) land on the camera stand.

08:40 Maybe it was Ivo on the camera stand, because he has just landed on the nest with a large branch. Now he is settling in to incubate the egg. He rolls the egg.

08:50 Ivo flies off and the lady lands on the camera stand and then settles over the egg.
