So many thank yous to all of you who bring photos and timeline descriptions - it's wonderful.
Is it my imagination or is Ivo being present more? He must not be bringing fish often, though?

On a side issue--my "local" osprey who nests above a cell tower over our neighborhood is often chased by crows and it is endless, just like with Iiris. Here they are black crows but a nuisance to the ospreys just the same.

Ivo indeed is much more present and broods the eggs. Either Ivo brings fish or Iiris goes fishing herself. Things will change when chicks hatch.

Iiris during one of the shifts

Iiris is back after 1 hour's break. During this time she has caught herself a fish and eaten well. Now Ivo has his eyes set for the fish - tail which she is holding 8-)

Image

She seemed reluctant to share it with him, but eventually he pulled it away from her

Sunshine, thank you for the pictues of the lovely couple. It's the second or third time when Ivo gets the tail of the fish Iiris has fished herself. In this nest it's vice versa - the female feeds male.

I bet Iiris brought the fish tail in order to give it away to Ivo - why shoud she come with it to the nest otherwise?

I would not say that in this nest the female feeds the male. Obviously, Iiris is accustomed to catching fish herself, and she continues to do this, even though there are eggs in the nest. She is a young mother and she needs to get used to the fact that she will get fish. And Ivo takes the remains of fish, as he always did. And takes them out of the nest. This is just a new thing that we could not see when Irma was in the nest.

Iris doesn’t like this piece of bark very much and she tries to put it aside.

Sappheira, thank you for the explanations. To tell the truth, it wasn't meant seriously that the female feeds the male as there was the laughing emoticon at the end of the thought. I have watched Irma and her partners since the beginning and I know that Ivo is used to take the fishtail, either he himself or this season Iiris brings the fish to the nest. Sorry, if this was misunderstood.
