16:58 Feeding by Kati. :D
Many small and bigger lampreys.
One storklet (that one in pool-position) could eat well, I think. It sat with it's back towards the cam, therefore I can only assume it has eaten. The other (behind the storklet and an egg) had to struggle a lot with one quite big lamprey. It was a hard fight for the little one. I couldn't see if it has swallowed the lamprey when Kati settled again down on them.
Surely there was also smaller food available, but obviously it couldn't reach it.

I'm sorry that I can't post pictures, but I'm still at work.

So that's the reason. I have been waiting for your pictures. Yours, Anne's and Baska's pictures are always especially beautiful.
Then I have to wait till tomorrow.

18:14 he starts feeding...it does not work yet. He has a big crop. It seems there is a small fish farm in his throat

That's something she should not do. We need a clear view of the eggs and the little ones

Now Karl II is in the nest .. Maybe they only hatch when dad is there :shake:
I was hoping to see four in a nest on one day . That would be great and unique.

18:14:09 Karl II removes some moss from the nest bowl.
Does he need more space for the huge fish he brought?
The chicks are begging.

18:15:09 There was food visible in his throat, but nothing came out. Later...

18.58.09 another feeding
Karl II eats lampreys back

This is amazing tactics how storks feed their chicks  simply keeping food in "storage"

:hi:
Yes! These lampreys were too big for such small chicks, but they were soft enough to peck out nice pieces.
I think both chicks ate well. Especially the chick in the best position.

Then Karl II turned both, the eggs and the chicks in a not so delicate way.
One egg seems to have a very big hole. It could hatch very soon, I think.
I didn't see a hole in the 4th egg.

They were far too big, but thank heavens, soft enough for our little chicks! :D

Thanks a lot for all your pics, balistar!

from earlier, 19:39, i think i saw also a hole at egg 4:

19:39:43 here Karl II turns the egg 4, which is close to his foot, on the left of the egg it looks like a hole, one storklet (K2?) lays on the left side, the other (K1?) is on the right,
egg3 lays in front a bit out of view
Image

19:39:45 now Karl II turns the egg3, (egg4 is now on the right of our view)
Image

19:39:45 we get a glimpse of the storklet inside the egg3
