I'll make some extra pics of it.
10:44:32 Kati flies in. Karl II leaves.
10:51:36 fourth feeding. All chicks have eaten well. The little one is the 3rd position.
10:52:04
I have to go.

Is not needed for grab the food. but to hold it after throwing it with the beak tip into the throat. therefore a short is sufficient.

14:06 Karl II is still preening himself
Storklets are still sleeping
He is feeding the storklets
#4 is behind the others
It crawls lightning fast to the left side
The food ends up in front of his beak

15:40 I have the impression that another stork is nearby. Karl twisted his neck like a corkscrew.
What a beautiful eye by the storklet

just read:
so, we can be glad with the weather in this nest...Many storks froze in continuous rain
Due to the heavy rains on Monday and Tuesday numerous juvenile storks in southwestern Germany have died. Upper Swabia is particularly affected in southeastern Baden-Württemberg, where it has rained for two days at temperatures of 10 degrees. But also in many other parts of the country the storks had to struggle with the continuous rain.
"We are very sad about it.The example shows that we are powerless against the forces of nature," said a spokesman for the regional council Tübingen on the situation in Obrschwaben. At present, however, it is assumed that the population will remain stable.
Especially for young animals, heavy rainfall is dangerous. Storks younger than six weeks do not yet have a fully developed plumage. Because the soft fluff absorbs water, the wet chicks cool down. Unlike very small chicks, they can not shelter under the stork parents' plumage.

it affects white storks, right?
Rain would not be a big problem. Black Storks build their nests differently. I think they are better adapted to such weather. Their nests are well ventilated. No plastic waste is to be found. At least not here in Estonia and in Latvia.
We had an incredible amount of rain at the Hungarian Nest. The nest bowl remained dry. But there was no food to be found in this weather. That was a big problem.

Also ospreys/osprets can suffer of rain, the water surface stays broken in rain and the birds cannot see fish under the water surface.

Liz, many thanks for your reports and pictures!
16:02:19 Our little one is on the left.

16:02:08 The sixth feeding. I saw some little black things. It wasn't a lot of food, I believe.

Thank you, Hellem
18:04:32 A pellet. (Or was this a bit of that soft, black, digested stuff?)
16:02:19 I think that in the end, all chicks ate a tiny bit of it.

I tried to take a closer look at it. (seventh feeding today, without counting the pellet)
Are these tadpoles?
They look indeed like tadpoles, but the strange thing was that the chicks were not very fond of it. I saw several chicks picking it up and spitting it out again, then picking it up once more. Would chicks not like tadpoles?

I'm so very sorry to announce it.
At 20:59, Kati grabbed her youngest storklet by the head.
It was much worse than on May 21.
This isn't good at all. This will not end well for the poor little one.
20:59:23-26
If you want me to remove these pics, please tell me.
I can not watch it myself.
