23:25 it's not completely dark. In the meadow there is a kind of fog.

Looks like cotton clouds between the little trees there.

I don't remember this kind of event in previous years. :innocent:

June 1

good morning!

7:06:00 a parent flew away from the top. kids were looking up and talking to the parent.
water droplets sprinkled down from the branches when the parent took off.

Chrissy, your pair of pictures crystallizes what i have been thinking in the past few days:
how can the eaglets have become so big in such a short time!
somehow it feels as though it has happened quicker than in previous years.

3:47 Rika pooped. it was fairly dark but the yellow legs were visible. i think these were thick ankles.

4:24 Milda flew out towards the OO. she seemed to land there but at the same time she disappeared in the fog.

6:18 Mika got up and made WE.
6:20 Mika pooped.

the OO was not quite covered with fog but i could not see if Milda was there or not. :puzzled:
after Milda flew there the oak was inside fog at times and in no time it was in clear view.
i don't believe that even Sonchik can find Milda leaving the oak. :whistling:

7:04 Mika pooped.
7:05 Rika pooped. then she made more WE.
7:06 Mika got up and gave the egg a toss. it moved very lightly. i think that the egg is empty and dry by now.
7:10 Rika made some CE (Catch Exercise).
then both made more WE.

7:23 both eaglets saw something. Rika started to talk...

7:25 Milda brought a green twig. she worked a little and then got up to the left branch she had another green twig mixed with her and she took that up to the top branch. then she had to come down again to take the twig back to the nest where it belonged.
then she went back to the top branch.

7:28 she flew out to the left.

7:53 a parent flew to the top. the eaglets, especially Rika talked to the parent.
7:56 the parent flew away. it was out of sight all the time.

Rika grabbed the fish with a real catch move. she has made some CE recently. now she had opportunity to practise with a real prey item.
Image

8:48 (nearly) Raimis flew out.

Rika began to eat herself. she is doing it like a professional. :2thumbsup:
