:hi: If I can say something;
The Marko often comes into the nest and picks up the rest of the fish. He flows back and forth with the eaten fish .... sometimes it stays.
But it never stays long. It's not like WTE. I do not watch the Ospreys for long, but I learned one thing. the ospreys never have * reserves * on the nest.
Keep having fun with Iiris and Ivo. Ivo was a wonderful father last year

With me, it's the other way around, sova. I know the WTEs only a little bit and wondered what kind of food mountains there sometimes lie on the nest. This only unnecessarily attracts flies whose offspring you have as roommates the whole breeding season.

16:34 Ivo watched the feeding for a while and moved a stick
probably to make himself useful in the nest as well
chicks are sitting well behaved as in the front row of the school desk
Image

16:35 then Ivo flew off while Iiris continues feeding the chicks
the chick on the right is eating very well, also bigger chunks
Image

16:36 the other chick's head is still wobbling and it doesn't often catch the Mom's beak,
but Iiris is patiently making sure that also the chick on the left gets its meal

Thanks, balistar, for the photo story today. Very pleasant, no reason to follow the webcam all the time... 8-)

It can look like this on an eagle nest where external cleaning service is needed  , so be happy that Ivo picks up the fish rests - not only from fish thieves ...:

Iiris is eating by herself. As soon as the chicks lift their heads she tries to offer them food, but they are still resting, one of them wakes up though and is willing to taste some morsel and returns to sleep  When they sleep, they grow :chick:

balistar your picture series made my day especially the last one where the parents look at their offspring and the egg.

:loveshower: :loveshower: :loveshower:

But of course a big „THANK YOU“ to mogga and all others who up date so regular on the nest life. This year I would most definitivly miss otherwise all precious moments.

19:50 cam time
I think I heard some egg talk for a moment, at the same time Iiris looks very attentive under her breast. I am not positive, young chicks often sound the same "chup chup" as the egg-talking ones ...

around 20:21
Iiris eats by herself and feeds both chicks

20:26
Ivo in with a new delivery :loveshower: Iiris starts feeding with the fresh fish  the fresh fish even jumps  Iiris has to kill it with some bites before continuing feeding ...

The kids seem to be full and Iiris can eat by herself-

20:34
I hear egg talking again?

Yes, it is definitely egg talk I hear!

Every year, it is this wonderful feeling to watch the hatched Osprey chicks. Iiris has learned very quickly to deal with the new situation and with great care she feeds her little ones. Ivo again brought a big fish that is still wriggling and Iiris has moved away from the chicks in the nest so they will not be beaten. So wonderful to watch the scene.

Is it only me or does the egg have a crack already? The bottom/top facing us?

 xnoax, I have not noticed any pip, not perhaps looked so well, but I have heard egg-talk, and that promises next hatching. :bounce:
