At 22:38:05, the storklets were startled. They growled.
A little later there was a weird sound. (22:39:29-50) I don't know which animal was around. :puzzled:

The nest looks a little muddy. The storklets are getting soiled.

Anne, I saw it, too. I can't see a reason for the storklets reaction at 22:38. Maybe they have heard something which was not audible for us.
The sound at 22:39 you've heard ... Could it have been a kind of Red Deer? :puzzled:

Some pictures ...

22:38:27 Storklets are startled.
Image

22:40:59 Two to three minutes later. The storklets laid down ...

22:45 ... and few minutes later are total relaxed and sleep.

Dream well, dear storklets.

23:30 One of the storklets got up and stretched its wings. Then the other two started chirping a bit, but initially they didn't get up.

23:30:55 First storklet is up. Wing stretching, then a PS.
Image

23:33:12 Two are up. Here the same, - wing stretching and PS.
Image

23:34:06 Now all storklets are awake and up. Also the third storklet made a PS.
Image

Then all three preened themselves for quite a while.

23:41 Back to sleep.

Good night everyone!

Good evening all

From 19:30 to 19:35 it was a lovely scene: storklets were sitting in half circle, preening each other and pecking siblings beaks. And all of a sudden they started loudly to "chat" =) like they were debating on something, making it look like a business meeting :gathering:

I have not seen storklets being mean to each other or witness any bullying, is that common among storklets to behave in friendly manner? compared to WtE its day and night.

Good evening everyone, :hi:
Some pictures with impressions of the evening nest life.

22:10:27 After a PS a storklet stretched its already big wings.
Image

22:10:32 But going back to its siblings was not that easy, because the storklet was quite wobbly on his legs. At first it has used the right wing for reaching back the balance ...
Image

22:10:34 Right wing was not enough, the legs were still wobbly. Now the left wing must help.
Image

22:10:35 Almost done, back to the siblings! :D
Image

Thanks a lot to all for todays reports, pictures and nice videos! :2thumbsup:

Some more pictures.

22:27:04 Stretching. Look at those white ... ? under the wings. I'm very sorry, I haven't a word for it.
Image

22:30:07 Another storklet is stretching its beautiful wings.
Image

22:30:08
Image

As long as it is not completely dark, every some minutes one of the storklets is awake and gets up.

23:07:35 One is again up, but only for short. It quickly went back to sleep.
Image

23:09:32 Now another storklet is stretching its wings.
Image

23:10:54 ... and the next is awake.
Image

BTW: All storklets have done a PS since about 22:00.
