Hello, balistar
Many thanks for your pics!
I also hope that at least these two brave storklets will survive.

12:21 Looks like a danger. Sounds a like a jay.. Storklets are alarmed

The Storklets are worried. After such a day, they do not need visitors

Now, instead of "fingers crossed" there is a way to save the storklets. Each of them should be given two names as fast as possible. Their first names must be known to anyone and their second names must be secret. Open names are Luiza and Lotta.

The poor storklets were alarmed and froze between 17:19:54 and 17:42:06.
That's a long time! :slap:

Around 17:42 they finally started to relax.

I made two videos. They are not too long. I did the attacks in SLOMO.
It was not a nice job .. I experienced everything again

9:27 - 9:50 AM

10:22- 10:25 AM

Anne, thanks a lot for the great pictures of the feeding. :2thumbsup: They have eaten a lot.
That was necessary after this day.
It was a juvenile goshawk. I hope he does not come back. He should practice somewhere else where I can not see it

So, I'm tired now . Beloved storklets I wish you a quiet night. No visit of birds of prey

Those storklets have no names yet, even when you call them like this and try to establish your wished names. :vangry:

But the names the storklets will get should be Estonian names. And the sex isn't known yet too.

Thanks, Liz.

Around 19:26, our two storklets were gently playing with a small stick.

About names - usually, we start to think about names for our storklets close to ringing time. First, we ask members to suggest names. From the suggested names we choose a list of suitable (gender neutral,) Estonian names.
After that, we ask members to vote for their preferred names. Finally, when votes are counted, the new names are given.
There does not seem to be a good reason to vary this forum custom.
