Osprey Zone, North Fork of Long Island, New York

chick #1 hatch - 6/17, chick #2 hatch - 6/18, chick #3 hatch - 6/20 died - 6/22

From what I read in the comments, chick #3 did not get enough strength after hatching. In a feeding, the elder siblings put their bodies on #3 to get more food, then #3 never got up again. I am not sure if #3 is buried deep in the nest because I don't want to read it anymore.
This is a heartbreaking accident, not caused by Jane or chicks.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Looks like the second chick is not more alive, I scrolled back to different times, no movement more from the lil. It's sad. I guess Hope is a first time Mom. Let's hope the best...
