How wonderful news here!! Thanks for all pictures
I will never ever forget the last year nesting time here! These birds are so incredible great and beautuful, a very special eagle species among the prey bird family. Now we can see them again! It's just terrific wonderful,.. Everything looks promising.

Hello, Fuego -fuego wrote:Hallo! I would like to congratulate the people who installed the web cams. It is an excellent work. I accidentally found the site last year and I became great fun of it.
I hope the lesser spotted eagle will nest soon. It is a very beautifull bird
Does anyone know any good site, in internet, with information about the behaviour of eagles and generaly raptors??
Thank you in advance
you may know this one already, but just in case: for eagles in Estonia (and black storks), try the Estonian Eagle Club (Kotkaklubi) site http://www.kotkas.ee/ENG/eagles.html
You might also like to check out the European Raptors site http://europeanraptors.org/ for facts and more links
Also Bernd-Ulrich Meyburg's site http://www.raptor-research.de

I asked Urmas about this white spot. He saysKuremari wrote:Koit came! i missed the moment, but saw him flying to the branch on left...

The feathering is not fixed body cover, there are and will be moulted feathers, old and new ones, some fall out. Think white spot is because one body covering feather is fallen out and new one not visible, yet. So white underwear is visible.
Thankyou, Urmas.

It looks like Koit (to me) with the prey.

Thursday 22 April
At about 10:35 I saw Koit on the nest for a moment -- then I lost the connection and then I saw him on an upper branch on the left -- just a tail in view (so that could have been Eha).

around 8pm both (i think) eagles visited the nest, brought twigs, made some arrangements, tried to lay down
and left then....
as far i have seen, they haven`t spent a night at nest
Eha

a moment before taking off...
