Birds have some rudiments of reason. I read about researches on this subject. To be able to work with quantity, let and scanty (to 6), unless it is not mind?
The actions of the corvids are quite reasonable.
But how to separate instincts from reasonable actions, I do not know.
The amazing calculations the brain does at subconscious level I would probably not count as "thinking". This does not make them less amazing at all.
