Mutikluti and Pica, many thanks! :2thumbsup:

I will prepare some pics of this feeding too.
Just a little patience, please. We currently have 39 degrees here in Belgium. And, hurray, tomorrow the temperature will exceed 40°.
I consider installing myself in the fridge.

15:01:12 I didn't see if it was a lot of food and what Karl II brought. But this definitely looks like an eel.

Anne, today and tomorrow are the same in UK. Come and share my air conditioner - only in one room though!

Yesterday at 11.42 Kati pooped on the nest. Maybe she said with this marking - Bye-bye, friends, Karl II, as a trustworthy partner, will take over my duties - and off she flew at 11.48.

summi, jo, yes, she is early. last year latest seen on july 27.

but we know, that they have a wonderful daddy taking care :2thumbsup:
and at least they learn to hunt themselves with him.

i can pretty well live with my 28.5° in my office. do often see the bath to refresh my neck, head and extremities. take care and drink enough water

OK, Jo! I am already on my way! And I'll bring a sixpack of Belgian lager. :D

Oh, I just read that Pica says it has to be water. :D

Yes, Summi, I have been thinking the same.
It is possible.
After all, she left that little "note" for Karl II. "See you next year, Sweetheart." 8-)

but the first "taking care" of what she left, was a butterfly :D

indeed they mark their nest (some people know this only from pets). apparently to keep other interested birds away from their nest over winter. we sometimes do not appreciate that as very clean... it is human thinking.
