Re: Estonian Osprey Nest (Ivo & Iiris) 2019
Hello to all Osprey fans :) There was a long registration process, so I could not provide information before.
The first flight of the UP took place at 6:44
UM flew at 6:34, 10 minutes later UP made his first exit from the nest
I do not know how to insert a photo, but I will learn

Good morning
Wow, finally the next of our osprets made her maiden flight - and a perfect first landing back on the nest, too!
Her sibling UN follows her with her eyes, looks a bit flabbergasted about the new doings of her sibling
06:44
Thanks to all for your reports!

Bea, thanks a lot for the video.
It's great to see how UP flapped her wings vigorously to get the feeling that her wings carry, then concentrated for a moment and off she went!

Thanks for the help in posting a screenshot of the first flight.
UN at 9:02 am dancing so funny, shaking her head like a girl in an Indian film.
I rewound the broadcast several times to see it again and again.

I have long wanted to see what happens if I make an analogue of timelapse video from the nest.
I can not say that I liked the result, but if someone wants to see, here is the video July 27, 2019 04:00-10:00 with acceleration 12 times.

Hooray - UP has fledged today
Since i have missed it live, many many thanks to everyone for this highlight news in words, pictures, videos etc. - and a welcome to the new members
Thanks also to Sunshine for the "pictures of the day" from tonight
I wish our lovable, calm UN that she will feel safety enough to follow her siblings soon and does not have to stay behind for long, alone on the nest.
Go go go, UN, you have the strength
13:45 UN alone in nest, dozing a little, while her siblings explore the home area out of nest

At 04:29 there was an incredibly powerful, long, synchronised wing exercising of both girls, facing the setting sun! Perhaps worth to make a video..
05:26
UM took a good look at our direction..
05:50
Iiris brought a half - fish together with a few branches..
05:51
UM also rushed in
