 Good evening everyone,
and thanks for all new info, trackers, and photos!

So Oru has started its migration journey, I wish him/her the best of luck!
And hopefully Aru will soon be in recovery to fly after Oru,
so of corse I wish good luck to him/her too!

Karula needs no longer to fly alone on the BirdMap :D

By the way, me too want to ask that what about Eedi and the chicks?
Have they already left from Karula Forest? Maybe with transmitters?
Or would Kati finally have received one transmitter?

Sorry, Treia, we don't have access to the transmitters for those birds. Just wait for Urmas to update Birdmap!

You're welcome, Ari and Florinda!

For those who are not (yet) familiar with the "tracker maps", a little explanation.
Tracker maps contain a lot of information.

If you open the link to the map, you will be able to see a lot of interesting information at every location (on every little blue square), by clicking on it.
The date, the exact time, the speed, the altitude, etc.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1IlJrw ... sp=sharing

An example:
Image

You can, of course, zoom in and zoom out.
But you also can switch between "satelite view" or "map view". (by clicking on the square at the left bottom)

Enjoy!

It is so nice to have such detailed information about Oru (and Aru soon too).
I hope we get to track them for many long years ahead.

What is the difference between these two links for Orus migration ?

http://birdmap.5dvision.ee/en
and
https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 32905&z=12

it is a little irritating...

Image

Thank you, Solo - the difference in the domain i can see, yes.

But why two maps ?
Which one is the original one (birdmap, i think) ?
Who is filling the maps with data ?
Google map can be started by everybody, so it is private ?

Or which advantage do you see in the one / the other map ?
For me it is not clear - streetview you have in both, haven't you ?
