The cygnets were found alone in the abandoned factory and perhaps they were lost themselves and their family didn't wait for them, it also happens. At least I often saw some ducklings swimming away from their mom and siblings rather far while their family is sleeping on the bank, cygnets may easily "go to travel". Anyway, the result is the same.

:hi:

MAKOV

I'm also checking each morning :innocent:

Drobek(the youngest Makov storklet) was on the tower very early this morning. Around 6:40 it flew to our left but a little later he came back to the tower. And very soon after, left again.

:puzzled: Was he planning to leave today and forgot his phone? or passport?

About the late migration in different nests:

The important counts of bird on the ponds of Israel, already started (Area where Karula and others stayed).

There is a big difference between the amounts of BS & WS at the end of July, and now.
Many of them are already on their way.

While we can see that some of "ours", in Estonia, makov and others - are still home.

I think it was always so, but we weren't able to watch it.

:hi:
MAKOV

He got up in the morning, made a tour and around 08:00 he went to visit his parents :rotf:

He spent some time with all his "cousins", many of them were on the grass near nest. He looked for food in the grass.

14:30 Now, he is again on the tower; weather is not nice for going to the airport :rotf:

18:00 The storklet was visiting the pond area and now he came to have coffee with his parents.
Another day at his nest.

She came home around midnight and was a little crazy, jumped around, moved hay. In the dark, I wasn't sure it's the storklet.

It wasn't, 'cause it had no ring and its legs were more red. It was an adult one. Usually one of the parents visits the nest to prepare it for the next season, but somehow KarlII in Karula didn't do that. :puzzled:

Today Drobek may have a rest before starting migration.
