After 21:32 some animals behaved very noisy. They screamed, screech, broke branches and ran through the water. :D

13:20 a spotted flycatcher visited again. this time it caught an insect, a wasp probably. it hit the insect against the top branch several times, probably to kill it or to make it otherwise more easily controlled.

the flycatcher rattled above the microphone before leaving.
(the visit was one and the same but my recording started a new file automatically in between. sometimes the break is in an awkward place.)

I very grateful that Miks continues to visit the nest.
It is a sweet habit but it is also good for keeping us updated.
I harbor a secret hope that maybe, after winter, Miks will stop by
at least once for us to see him healthy and growing.

At 7:27, 7:43, 8:01, 8:03, 8:04 the voice is eaglet.
thank you for the observations!
i can't get the names of the birds at 7:19 - 7:21 and 7:25....?
they are somehow so familiar. a nuthatch first and then perhaps a thrush (i think you mean this). or a jay? :puzzled:
i don't have the call at 5:02 on Aug 16th. :slap:

i could not find a call at 7:43. ... i think it's 7:53. :D
8:01 onward may be a fish song. this was a very good finding.
