Juta, thank you so much for getting these pictures. It's so good to see our Padis again. Who knows if he will find a mate this year. I hope so -

What a surprize! Thanks for images!
I was almost sure that Padis perished on migration... As many of our birds are lost.
Toomas also arrived yesterday to homeland and overnighted quite close to camera nest, some 20km. But next data we obtain after three days. So, in camera view, there could appear also Toomas - strange syncronisation of these two neighbours...

now TWO lesser spotted eagles are investigating black stork nest, i think Padis sold the apartement to LSE-s O.o

I'm reording a video for later viewing and studies. This is weird, how do LSE take over stork nest.. are they going to remodel and rebuild it for their purpose now?????? nice weather tho.

I think we may have to re-name this topic!

I have the impression that these two don't know each other well. Does anyone agree. They seem to look at each other as though they are not familiar.

soon video material coming up. right now its uploading on youtube.

I think these two have bought the nest from Padis who can't find a mate this year. but they have a lot of remodeling to do, to suit the nest for the life. Can they really switch nest like that?? or are thees two young lovers LSE really young and don't know how and what to do. they seem kind of uncertain too.

No doubt that this is nest building behaviour. He keep leaving, then returning with another twig, branch or some kind of greenery.

Oh dear, they really seem to like this nest!!!

I checked the Kotkaklubi page about Spotted Eagles, that's what it says:
Pesa ehitavad konnakotkad enamasti ise ning asustavad seda korduvalt mitmel aastal, eriti kui neid ei häirita. Vahel kasutavad nad ka teiste suuremate röövlindude (hiireviu, kanakull) või must-toonekure vanu pesi. Mõnikord on konnakotkapaaril mitu pesa, mida aastati vahetatakse.
(In bold it says sometimes they use old nests of Black Stork.)

Oh Padis, Toomas, any Black Stork... :help:

:puzzled: Since Padis or any other black stork hasn't brought any twigs and moss (like they had this time around last years) that may mean they wont be able to find mates and make a family this year, and so they give the nest up for LSE-s.. although they are in a hurry as well. this nest promises to have some action in the future :D

Since WTE cam is down because of the wind anyway.. i only get white screen and no chiclets
