I also think that we must clearly distinguish between an opinion (a possible explanation) and real information.

Liz, why do you suddenly call me Anne7, and no longer Anne, when you talk to me? :puzzled:
Anne
you're right

to Anne7
I think I had copied a sentence and then deleted everything except the name. I was on the bike for 4 hours today. Too much oxygen is not good for the brain

i also am curious about a autopsy report.

starving to death...
of course i know that birds can survive many hunger days, more days without food than many other species.
what happens when dying. in the last parts of that process consciousness become less and less, until final loss.
...the mentioned biochemical processes cause this as well.

I think that birds, like other animals or even humans, have in some cases other problems that stop them from eating. it can be a sickness or deformation of an organ.
Only after receiving the results of autopsy, we'll get answers to all or some of our questions.

Thanks, juta! :hi:

If today, Oru crossed the Gulf of Iskenderun, he may already be in or near Syria. :puzzled:
That could perhaps explain why we didn't receive the evening update.

This morning Oru started to travel at 11:05:41 (UTC+3). Here is his flown route, until 14:40:42 (UTC+3).
Tracker map says that this yellow line is 56,1 km long. That's not a very long distance, in nearly 4 hours flight. :puzzled:
Image

EDIT: I see now that he had a long feeding stopover between 11:40:43 (UTC+3) and 12:55:42 (UTC+3)
Image

At 14:40:42, Oru stopped travelling. Speed 0 km/h.
He landed near Dedepınarı, southeast of Adana.
Why did Oru make that sudden turn? I hope he is OK.

Hi Jo
I looked to Mr. Gennadi Skromnov for God's good health !!! I wish Him another meaningful, long, healthy life!

11 years have passed since its foundation. The world has changed, we who have the technology to communicate between continents,
Sometimes with language difficulties.
It will no longer fit into my life to learn Chinese, but if I find such interesting material, your link will certainly contain the letters of the Chinese alphabet.
Can't you respect Mr. Gennady Skromnov for a concession?
The main language remains English, but you can put the link that quotes the quote if it is in Japanese at that time.
Anyone who understands the language in the original can read the source of the quotation.
To my knowledge, the European Union has 24 official languages. Well, that's not needed here, because in many cases, people who don't speak one language don't understand each other :(
Nowadays the FB is also a power - as I have written - you just need to be able to use it well, and then you will find, for example, a dead bird "crossing borders".

Thank you very much!

P.S.: Fixed it: 13.10.2019. 15:39.
Signature, stamp to be imaged.

ORU
The bidmap and the tracker map do not show the same location.

I'm happy that Oru didn't stay at Incirlik Air Base. Far too dangerous for little storklets!

Today, there was no birdmap update for Karula.

Dear Biker!
Yes, the detailed autopsy results may be familiar.
What I wrote is an assumption - with some practice behind my back - because if there was an external trauma caused by the little rodent its severity was probably visible on the X-ray.
They wouldn't have started the infusion, but would have helped them out with a sad heart.
The epidemiological situation is now quite favorable for birds.
An individual infection cannot be ruled out, but the temperature did not indicate such.
There are many open questions that we ask in vain, for obvious reasons, there is no one to answer.
Surveys are underway, some of which will take days to come.

yes that is how i had understand: externally not visible injury, only recognizable by X-rays.
i think that is the most difficult "decision" when start "first help" isn't it.
Infusion for stabilize - with the possibility/risk that there are already such severe (ultimately deadly) injuries those not on first sight recognizable.

I'm afraid i am digressing from the topic..

I understand!
I did not ask for bilingual settings in my request to JoUK.
I asked for the founder's opinion to ask for foreign quotes to be translated into English, indicating the cited text sources because it is fair.
Here, too, happens when you refer to someone blind.
If this cannot be discussed with the founder, then it is not true that
because there is change,
and the birds have a normal body temperature with daily fluctuations of 39.5-42.0 °C.
All the best!

Good late evening,

A picture from Oru’s yesterdays (11.10.2019) stay near Bekirli, close to the Çatalan Dam Lake.
A very beautiful area!
View to north-east, viewing height is 4,2 km.
Image

Some pictures from Oru’s todays position, 12.10.2019.
At his last data point in the received tracker map, 14:40 UTC+3, Oru is in large fields.
View to south-east, viewing height is about 1,7 km.
Image

He has found some trees. As his speed was 0 km/h, he probably rested there for a while. It is likely that he continued his flight, as it is still quite early.
View to south-east, viewing height is 172 m. The picture is taken in February 2018.

To be continued two postings later ...

October 13

Good morning my friends!

Good to see Oru moving along.
Do we have any idea about his final destination? Eedi goes to Saudi Arabia and, of course, we don’t know where Karl II and Kati go...
