POLAND

CNIG24
He moved further south to Abidjatta-Shalla National Park (still in Ethiopia) from Langano Lake.

Previous info: viewtopic.php?p=697633#p697633

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Langano: The lake is brown in colour and at first sight one may think that the lake is not clean. However this is not the case, the reason for the colour is due to the richness of minerals including high sulphur levels which have led many to believe that the lake water has healing properties. There are a number of resorts around the lake and water sports are popular. There is a variety of wildlife around the lake, which include hippos (rare), monkeys, baboons, warthogs, and a huge variety of birds.

Solo!

There are 2 new black storks with rings on your favorite Israeli center FB page.

ED:
I had more time to look for the rings. When I checked there again, the newest msg was erased; It was written by a Ruth Ram.

I am amazed that this stork is not in the Movebank. :puzzled:

Hello Liz
Liz, I wrote on FB SOS Tesla that I found the ring number TA54 given to a stork in 2014 in Germany. Therefore, I assumed that this stork with the number TA64 is also from Germany. Not that the TA64 is also from 2014... (On FB they wrote that it is possible from Poland)

Thank you Hana :2thumbsup: Great work! I did not know that we now have a German Black Stork with transmitter. It is a pity that it was not public until now.

I saw this kind of transmitter the first time by an Poland storklet.

BTW: I was often at Lake Constance in my youth.

From Bulgaria he flew to Turkey to the Sea of Marmara. The next day (on October, 16th), however, flew back to the Greek border and is still in the area.

POLAND

CNIG24

He spent last night on a tree at Lake Langano, from where he moved about 80 km to the south (west of Dodola). The last position is a bit strange - he sent some data - at 01:04 he was close to the house, at 01:11 probably on a tree (still very close to the dwelling) :puzzled:
