POLAND - Dab nest, storklets 2019

GT:
The latest news about our pets!
PATYK still preys in Israel on the fish ponds between Lake Tiberias and the Dead Sea. Meanwhile, SKOCZEK has already arrived. For several days he has been traveling a short distance above the Batha River in southern Chad. Unbelievable, but over 7,000 km🌏 flew from the outlet.

About the third storklet Gwalbert no news :puzzled:

SKOCZEK
Above Batha River in Chad.

The Batha River is an ephemeral river in Chad. As with any rivers or lakes in this region, its existence depends on the amount of rainfall. The river's delta is at Lake Fitri in Chad. Batha River carries water west from Ouaddaï highlands during rainy seasons, usually during flash flooding. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batha_River)

 15 years old :headroll:

I like not these areas with mud - I read yesterday about very young Poland stork who died here

"Black Stork 186T - Beit She'an Valley April 2019.
This stork was photographed by Niv Besor while we were watching birds in the area.
As you can see on the stork there is a satellite transmitter.
Unfortunately this stork did not survive, was found the next morning wounded and she died later.
According to the information we received from the the Israeli Bird Ringing Cente (#IBRC) the stork was marked a year ago (2018) in northwestern Poland and made the distance of about 2500 km.
I would like to thank Niv Besor for this documentation. https://www.birdwatching.org.il/en/bird ... ng-center/

answer - comments: Jordan Valley Birding Center The stork got stuck in the mud and died of exhaustion.
"
