I can open the link to the Hefer Bird Station, no wonder I subscribed to it! But I can not open the link to this group.

Unfortunately, this content is currently not available

Good afternoon

POLAND

CNIG 17 is still in Senegal. After a long time he sent data on November, 4th. Now we have the data from November,1st retrospectively. At the beginning the location was close to human homes, on November 5th he flew further south and southeast of the country to the area of streams and rivers that are tributaries of the Saloum River.

Hana,
Thanks to your Polish Storks, we are discovering new territories.

It's very strange to see the different ways they are choosing, really the opposite sides.

We'll never understand the wonder of migration

:hi: Abigyl,
You're welcome  I am still learning myself, discovering new territories with the storks and I especially admire their ability to orientate in the terrain. I like them very much.

Hello, all
Hana wrote: November 4th, 2019, 2:31 pm CNIG16
CNIG 16 left the fish ponds around Bet She'an and on November, 1st. He flew a little south to the Jordan River. It is possible that he met Karula near Jordan River on November, 2nd. CNIG 16 also flew to Jordan for a while.
Hana :hi: , have you seen it?
CNIG16 is still at the same location as Karula! :headroll:
In the Jordan River Valley, near Tal al Manţaḩ.
Karula arrived there on 01.11, CNIG16 on 02.11
They certainly met! :D

EDIT:

The red line is CNIG16, the yellow line is Karula.

Thanks for news about Eedi. Makov - I think it's just off the signal. He will certainly send a message soon.

Yes, it’s a small world ! :D
Karula is a 2nd-year juvenile BS. A bit more experienced than little CNIG16  , but not yet mature himself.
Presumably, there are also adult storks in that region.

Many thanks for all fine documentation, Hana :2thumbsup:

Solo, Hana :hi:
Thanks for the updates. :2thumbsup:
I think it's not uncommon for the storks to meet in one area. They all want in the same direction - south! We will see if CNIG16 stays in this area or if he is choosing another wintering area.

Solo, with Mare we have to expect to be without update for a long time. It's hard for me! But we still have our Eedi and the Polish storklets. And you still have a godson on travel. Your Makov Storklet :D

Abigyl, I still have problems with the darn FB! In many groups I see everything. Only in this group I have some problem. I do not know the reason. I will not try to solve the puzzle any more. I have no time.
On Saturday, I drive for a few days to the Baltic Sea. I have appointments. On the occasion I will see, if my eagles are visible in the area now. I have a hotel very close to their "dining place" :whistling:

I hope we will have not such a group formation here, as in other threads! That would be a pity.

Hello, Liz :hi:

Did I miss something? :puzzled:
The formation of separate "groups" would certainly be very regrettable.

(I'm sure it was purely by accident that you didn't mention me in your post above. I mean: Hana and I were talking about CNIG16 and said: 'It's a small world'. But you are of course right in the sense that the Jordan River is situated on a migration-highway. :D )

Enjoy the Baltic Sea!

- meeting: uncommon is only to have info about storks with transmitter at the same time in the same place  (we know this situation with "goris" storks in Romania)
- waiting for update: as always, we can only patiently wait and hope for good news

- Makov storklet: I think so too - in Ethiopia isn't the best GSM coverage

You are welcome, Hana, Liz

Hi!

Liz! have a nice time up there with your birds

If I remember well, last year there was a time Maru flew from Israel with a "Polish Officer", they were together on the map, at same time. On the southern side of SINAI, while they crossed to Egypt.

All of them are going to the same restaurants and we are meeting them there

- Maru stayed on the irrigated fields and the Polish storklet after night resting continued to Ethiopia, where he sign off
- it was not so close in place and time as Karula with CNIG16, if I remember well (previous days I was away - I haven't documentation, but maybe it was Sova who wrote about that in Following Karls' Families thread)
