What a pity this camera is not working..

But there is also a Latvian Golden Eagle camera and it's working! There are two eggs in the nest :shake:

11:28 the cam is still not working!

Marfo I know that there is a Latvian Golden Eagle Nest. I was already watching last year and this year too. For this year I have decided to watch the Estonian Golden Eagle.
It's a matter of time for me. The little ones will soon hatch here. That fits into my time concept

Greate news!
Incubation period should be 41 days.

Yesterday, the camera image started to break and just after half past four, only the "black screen" was visible.
What's wrong? Is there a sound in the camera's sensor, but in the jack?
There can be many reasons: whether there is a fault in the sensor, if a larger tree branch has damaged the cable by falling, or if some of the rodents have "tested their teeth" on the transmission cable.
It is well known that a bald eagle's nest cannot be approached in daylight because human activity in the vicinity of the nest is very likely to frustrate the nesting.
However, the hope of restoring the camera image should not be lost.

aita, thank you very much for the translation. :2thumbsup:
When I saw "no video signal" I knew it was going to be a bigger deal. I saw it on other cameras. It goes without saying that no one can go to the nest.
It's a shame that it affects the Golden Eagle camera of all things. I would have preferred Merikotkas now.

Well, the sound seem to work anyway, if it's the right one that is?, no timestamp
With replay in the early morning there was Common Snipe playing, Black Grouse playing, Golden Plover calling, Parrot Crossbills, Mistle Thrush playing, ducks and GE waking up and more.

If there are plenty of Black Grouse there it will be good food for the eagles :D

Sorry for being silent so long after video lost. Field works are ongoing, simply days are full..
No video means problem after camera main unit (AXIS F41), it is either not long cable or sensor unit up on the nest. In Latvian GE cam there was situation where adult destroyed the same cable. Though in last minutes there was not visble such activity of incubating adult, but if may happen already once before? Error message is sent to cam producer, hopefully they can say something more relevant.
Anyway three-four weeks it is not possible to go in place and you can only watch the nest as blind people have to do always...

Urmas, thank you very much for the info. :2thumbsup: It's a pity, but it cannot be changed. I will wait patiently.

We had the same problem at the Latvian WTE camera in early 2016. We only had sound, no video. That was exciting

We still hope to repair the cam if chicks about 10 days old or so.
Hatching time we probably could hear? Even singing eggs as microphone is quite close there.
Thanks Sigge for keeping list of birds heard!

Helju is still calling and is flying around . I hear crwos.

Helju is back on nest.

9:12 a flock of birds are calling. I have no idea what birds they are :help:

EDIT: Urmas, I will make videos when they hatch and in the days after.

April 21

Good Morning everyone :hi:

today the first eaglet should hatch :bounce:

https://www.tickcounter.com/countup/158 ... will-hatch

5:19 the chick has hatched. It chirped as the parent stands up :loveshower:
that was pünktlich :D

5:23 Parent is still preening him/herself. I think Helju is in the nest.
5:25 cranes are singing loud.
Helju settles down.
5:26 Helju moves- short chirping by the chick.

without video, but you can hear it very well. Helju stands up and the chick started chirping. (four hours ago nothing can be heard. Helju was restless the whole night)
