Re: Golden Eagle Webcam Nest 2020
Yesterday evening we went together with Omar, Gunnar and Martin to fix this cam. No adults near nest, but one of them appeared with food (adult crane, half eaten) if I was just under the nest. It flew away soon, but not immediately. We changed camera and ringed the chick. According Gunnars experience, our chick is one of the oldest by the end of May at all, during 30 years we ring them in nests! Transmission restored in early morning and we wait for adults, though there is enough food for chick. Will see if female comes first to feed or male comes with another food? Chick is strong and healthy, no signs about another chick, probably perished because of kainism.

Thank you, Urmas, for the ground report. So good to hear that everything went well.
The view is gorgeous at this nest, the person that chooses the camera view really has a good eye.
There should be awards given out for the artistic director.

You are right sigge! Rings produced in Sweden as well as ringing scheme coordinated by ÖRN-72.
There in web site some data also about Estonia. Last nearly 20 years mainly ringed by Gunnar.
Think ring codes could be good excersise for watchers to read those through cam...
Think chick is female, but as we forgot weight scale to take - not sure. And my most attention was on camera camoflage, to hide wires, etc. Nice bird list few posts behind! Probably not final one, yet.
