The good news: The second and third chicks both made their maiden flight on June 16. :innocent:

The nest has now been abandoned and new visitors are found.

"During the Fall of 2014, a pair of Great Horned Owls began frequenting this recently abandoned Bald Eagle nest adjacent to a protected, nutrient-rich salt marsh along the Georgia coast. The nest sits nearly 80′ above one of the six Audubon International Certified golf courses at The Landings, on Skidaway Island, near Savannah, Georgia. Over the course of 2015 and 2016, a pair of owls successfully fledged four owlets from the site, but they did not return to breed in 2017. Instead, a pair of Ospreys began renovating the nest and committed to breeding in the same site for 2017."

The owls are here again tonight. I don't wear headphones but I think they're still around.
I don't know if they actually use this nest to breed, but they are fun to watch. :innocent:

Richmond stopped by the nest this morning for a couple of minutes. We cropped this video to give you a better look. Great seeing you, Richmond!

Dunrovin Osprey Nest, Lolo, Montana, November 28th, 2020

A beautiful Dark Morph, calurus/western Red-tailed Hawk visited the nest and surrounding area, looking for a bird to catch for it's evening meal. We did not see her catch anything.

Calurus and Western refer to the race of the Hawk and Calurus/Western are common in this area but not so much the dark morphs. She's a real beauty! :loveshower:

If Richmond was trying to chase the crow away he wasn't trying terribly hard. Great to see you today, Richie!

The Great Horn owl continues to enjoy using this nest for its romantic intentions. It doesn't look like they care for this nest for a brood but they do meet there.

......and she nags like Vita. (Latvian Nest) :rotf:
However, diligently trying to make a good nest. Sometimes she seems to gnaw sticks out of frustration. ...not to forget the nagging.

Different here ... .

(live)

I have no information on the owners of the nest. An accidental discovery.
In the middle of the garbage, a quietly waiting Osprey. Strong - a female?

No livestream for great photos. I find the quality la la. Max. 480p are possible but it is enough to see.

Again and again wow effect when they span their flights.

Madame can talk. The male is approaching. Good that the masters retract their claws for mating.

...while this female extends her claws vocally afterwards. :whistling:

Nice, there is a pair. I didn't realize that earlier.

The Great-horned Owls have to find a new place to hang out because RHETT is home! There is another Osprey hanging around as well but so far has not landed on the nest. I believe Rhett has been seen for the past 3 days, at least, but was ID'd by one of the moderators and I agree, 100% that it's him.

For lack of another place to put this video, since this Hawk landed on the Osprey nest at Charlo, Montana, 02-18-2021, I'll place it in here.

This is the nest of Charlotte and Charlie - an Osprey pair from, Charlo, Monatana. It is very often visited by other Raptors, especially while Charlotte and Charlie are on migration. They should arrive back in April.

This camera is brought to you by Owl Research Institute and EXPLORE.
