Solo, :hi: thank you!
Dr. Carleton also noted that the new eagle or eagles began coming around when campus was closed, and therefore there were no visitors to the nest area. She warned they may not be as tolerant of disturbances well as the original pair, and because now is a sensitive time in nesting season, an influx in visitors could cause abandonment of the nest.
We have a small staff in our office, and are monitoring the situation as best we can. We appreciate your concern and your patience.

BTW, for me it is not Berry Dad!

Decorah North Nest

A Great Horned Owl tries to catch a fox. (I think it is a fox)
The GHO tries it a few times. These hunting scenes are in speed 0.2 so that you can see it better. The GHO was unsuccessful at the time.

FB Berry College Eagles

nice words by one observer in comments:

... " I will for sure miss Ma Berry and will always see her as a hero. We all saw how hard it was getting for her to be on the nest with eggs and eaglets. She deserves her rest, in whatever form that takes. If this is Pa Berry, then we know he is a great dad and any future eaglets will be lucky to have him. And if this is a totally new pair, then we can wish them well and follow them as much as they will let us."

Rita, you're welcome. I was lucky to see it. Raptors.org is happy to have this video now.
They have never seen anything like it. Now I'm angry because I didn't make a video of the bear. There were many interesting animals to watch that night. The camera operator did a good job :2thumbsup: and zoomed in on all of the animals.

It could be that this is a dead animal (carcass), that guesses accordingly. The wolf whelps to * mark * itself ... to cover up its own scent. Dogs also like to do this, especially in badger droppings but also in all other things * that smell good *.

Sova, :hi:
He rolled over the remains of the deer carcass. He does this almost every night.
I know that dogs wallow in the feces of other animals too. A reason not to have a dog. Especially, if you live in a rural area where the meadows are full of feces from cows.

Berry Collgege

9:10 pm yesterday late evening
A flying squirrel tries to get a piece of the prey in the nest.
It worked very hard for 10 minutes, unfortunately it wasn't successful. I don't know what's in the nest. I'll see when there is daylight.
