E17 asleep, E18 awake, the colors changed overnight again

E17 stretching and standing up - she has much more pin feathers visible already

E17 approached E18 by the rails and E18 warned her not to bonk


Harriet visited the pond

I am so happy that the rat business was not any real issue and E18 is just fine

But it hurts often that the bonk business goes on

What is there that interests them both?


EDIT: there was an eagle flying around the nest tree, possibly a juvie, I didn't catch a good capture on cam 1

M15 delivered a squirrel

M15 dropped down to the nest to de-fur the squirrel

E17 has something red on her back - it must be from the squirrel

E17 is very hungry, too

He got some big hunks, too


E18 got some spaghetti in his mouth and shakes his head often in order to get it swallowed

E18 grabs some morsels himself


... can't wait for getting served


Most of the prey went to E17

... and finally I think E18 got that spaghetti down
no, he didn't, he tried to wipe it with help of nest material, too


I think he got it down at last

It began to rain and Harriet came to cover her babies


M15 brought more food


The fish looks strange - and there is something also in M15'c claws ...

[Owlie]

Every now and then it happens that the luck is on E18's side - E17 has a squirrel in her crop

- and E18 got all the fish.

Harriet tries to teach E18 to be more patient with the food, she doesn't release the hunks right away but keeps them in her beak for a short moment so that E18 can only grab little in one go
