Covering of eggs in the rain and wind

Male offers itself

Way to go

There is very useful and interesting telling by the administration of the nest cam in the chat, I recommend to read!
Captured just one point from there in an explanation that eagles cope well with all kinds of weathers - with Google Translation:
Some disturbance in the surroundings makes both callThe problems only arise if the nest is soaked by many days of precipitation and the eggs are exposed to cold from below by soaked grass. It is to ward off the fact that the female lies with outstretched wings. She must not only keep the eggs warm, but also the nest dry.

Male comes to the nest just before sunrise. To offer covering of eggs. Female out for an hour or more. During day M offers to take over duty 2-4 times. M arrives an hour before sunset and normally covers the eggs for an hour. Always F on the eggs during night. The couple is in rutine now.

Rain has stopped but it is still windy.
F is in a very relaxed position this evening compared to last night

MAR. 12.
Thank you for comments, observations and scaps.
After more rain during night it is now dry weather again.
07.15 M came to the nest and has been there for an hour.
09.27 F is back to the eggs.
AND there were 3 young WTEs in the area yesterday. All 3 in first plumage = 2cy.
Observation by Rasmus Romme living in the pump housing 1 km south of the nest.
The signal from the nest runs through his living room.

Thanks for info, albicilla!
So clever they are - after the heavy rain they have built a high island with dike of the nest bowl in order to keep the eggs dry and warm!

Some calling and take off after that

She arrived to take the shift

She doesn't fit the island as perfect as the male

Female spreads out the embarkment of the wreath that apparently Male has built

Here the video (2'19'') of the crow's visit in the nest the other day - when the cam operator frightened it away by steering the remote camera

MAR.12,
Very quick and smart by Kim to turn the camera here.
This nest is huge compared to the ones we see in Latvia and Estonia. Older too, I think.
And another video. Connection/greeting calls between F and M -

A beautiful portrait, albicilla! One so healthy young eagle

Egg rolling this morning

A shift change, Male left

... and Female came - it rains again

Still wet and calm after a short break in the stream

Egg rolling

Egg rolling

Zoomie working with Female

You can see clearly different characteristics compared with the male in albicilla's picture above
Beautiful!

Male took over the shift and made a little announcement

I didn't see the change and saw only a glimpse of one egg, hope the other one was hidden in the hay
