And how she got up there: she a sort of flew backwards from Veranda! [at about 14:54]

E17 BRANCHES To Attic! Amazing Hover & Backward Landing! Hits Big Milestone!

Sharon Dunne, SWFLEC Facebook: E17 was practicing some wingers and hops up to the veranda branch and back down. On the 2nd pass, E17 catches air and goes straight up into a big hover over the nest and back down! E17 has the excitement of the wind beneath those wings and goes back up to the veranda and then up into a hover backwards to the attic! E17 reaches out with his/her left foot and grabs the little branch right below the attic and then with the right foot grips the attic and sticks the landing! Balancing with wings outstretched, E17 has hit a big milestone by branching to the attic at 76 days old! It's a whole new perspective up on the attic as E17 is looking down at E18 on the nest!

WOW!! E17 was amazing in their hovers by the cam housing and then taking a “breather” before flying up again, finally landing in the attic. Way to go E17! Food was well delivered and eaten again today. The E’s are 11 weeks old tomorrow and both are on target in their growth and development. Tonight the E’s rest in the nest with H & M perching above.
