I've been listening and watching for the last hour and a half until dark. Nothing.

Good morning Emiliano! :hi:

I heard and saw at double the speed and one more time ... nothing.
22: 07/08 I heard a faint rustling in the tree.
I could only calm myself that H21 wasn't nervous and called. So everything was probably okay, and there was a reason both H's were so unremarkable.
I was sick earlier when I didn't see H44 straight away.

But he was there! :loveshower:

05:48:15 - 20 H44 calls from the area
H21 answers immediately, gets up and leaves the nest 48:28

The last time H21 was outside of the nest was almost 15 hours ago!
(Provided we all haven't missed anything.)
H44 has not been heard from since the last change at 3pm yesterday.

05:49:15 H44 takes over and announces its arrival at the nest with loud shouts.

06:01:54 - 58
06:03:02 - 07 I heard loud calls from H21 from the area.

06:06:42, '44, '47, '50 H21 approaches the nest with short sounds.
06:06:55 she flutters in front of the entrance and then in.

Short change

06:07:32 H44 leaves the nest.

08:39:22 - 26 crows fly around the tree
08:39:34 - 36 They sound almost aggressive
08:39:39 H21 begins to whimper
At the same time, H44 reports its presence from the site. :innocent:

H21 continues to call softly, gets up, rolls the eggs, loosens the bottom of the nest and lies down again.

To hear the 'squeak' in her voice again. And she's 'leaning' ... (drawn out)

08:45:53 - 47:15

H21 gets up again, works in the nest floor.
She continues to make soft sounds

08:48:08, '10, '37 'is leaning'

Treecreeper visits H21 at 47: 14/15

09:34:37 - 44 H21 answers

11:42:18 H44 flutters into the nest.

Short change.

Image

11:42:32 H21 leaves the nest, calls out loud and longer.
All that remains is to see H44 afterwards with a long neck.

11:48:10 H21 lands in the tree somewhere. You always hear them... . 8-)
11:48:23 She makes a sound and H44 stands to attention - as if on command.

Image

This change is more affectionate again. :innocent:

11:48:50 Both H's start to observe something about themselves. Possibly a crow ... it could be heard.

11:49:17 H44 leaves the nest, calls.

12:01:27 - 30 H44 calls away
12:01:35 - 41 H21 'lahnt', continues with soft, very soft sounds

And again change ...

12:16:09 H44 announces itself with shouts, flutters from the side up into the nest.

H21 greets him with begging cries, does not get up immediately. She remains lying down, continues to call out with drawn out tones.

Image

Then yes - H21 goes from the eggs.
12:17:00 she leaves the nest, calls.

12:20:07 H21 back again with a leaf or bark. I think.

She doesn't waste any time, she places the new nest material immediately. (After she ousted H44 ... :whistling: )
Then she works with a small stick - this should go where H44 has his feet. H44 picks him up and places him on the edge of the nest in front of him.

H21 lays down firmly on the eggs, 'squeaks' softly to H44 and he then leaves 12:21:16.

"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

Everything in order again, when I left him at dawn the male was about to call. I went to sleep.

With a little more light, the tone of the eyes would be better appreciated because the photo is good. I still think that H21 is very slightly lighter.

As for the nape, H44 has a dark part very well framed in white.

Greetings

Well, even if today he again prefers to stay away from the nest in the evening hours ... we can sleep better Emiliano today.

Finally, 19:04:25 - 29 A clear call from H44.
It doesn't seem far.

19:04:31 - 40 A clear answer from H21

19:29 59 H21 in anticipation ... she's begging.

Ps: I am now adding the 3 videos.

19:35:12 H21 begging call again
19:35:20 - 22 H44 responds with a call

H21 gets up, loosens the bottom of the nest and lies down again.

19: 45/46 Now follows a series of very, very nice calls ('lahnen', begging calls) from H21 with an answer from H44. Okay, H44 very sporadically 8-) but H21 will be successful. :innocent:

I leave out individual timestamps ...

Everything up to the change:

At the moment I don't know why H21 is now increasingly using these calls for communication or requests. There must be a new chapter in development related to the approach of hatch - not their consolidation of their bond. It will be the first calls from their chicks that our H's will respond to. Or? :puzzled:

Let's see if these types of calls solidify.

19:52:00 H21 whispers from the tree before fluttering into the nest.
She brings bark again. H44 gets up voluntarily - he now knows his way around.
He stops at the edge of the nest, at H21. She gets her gifts, dear lute ... kisses. H21 'squeaks' with pleasure again.

Both struggle with the wind. They deserve better weather really fast.

Good evening everyone

Emiliano :hi:

First of all: I think it's okay that I continue to name our H's with their official ID. H21 and H44. From the beginning it was very consistent for me that both are H's. It fits. It's fine.
It doesn't diminish my bond with this nest and certainly not with this great couple. And ...The wonderful H's won't care what we call them.

07:11:21 H44 flutters into the nest, but H21 doesn't want to give up her place on the eggs.
She stays there ... chirps softly to him.
Image

H44 seems a bit indecisive.
Image

07:13:59 he leaves the nest again, calls.

09:38:04 H21 has discovered H44 and receives him excitedly.
Their sounds remind me of kittens.

She now seems happy to accept H44's offer.
Already 09:38:20 she leaves the nest. That was quick.

09:40:35 - 39 it can be heard in the area.

09:58:34 H21 approaches over the upper branch. She brings a branch.
She jumps into the nest.

Image

09:58:40 H44 moves to the side branch. H21 chirps to him ... their sounds become more urgent.
10:05:26 H44 returns from the branch to the nest.
I don't know what H21 whispered to him but he leaves the nest 10:05:42 8-)

Both changes and the haunting calls from H21
"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."
