I hope the other storks are gone now and won't come back.
Kaia stands on the curved branch.

Kaia is unbelievably good.
Tense? What do you mean by that? She's standing there quietly.Bibibu wrote: June 24th, 2021, 9:27 pm Do you think Kaia is tense because she is so puffed up?
and the little ones chat non-stop![]()
The feathers were so fluffed up von Kaia.Swenja wrote: June 24th, 2021, 9:36 pm Tense? What do you mean by that? She's standing there quietly.
I am more wondering if Kaia will stay in the nest for the night.
Yes, Bibibu, they raise their feathers when they are angry (or scared). It makes them look bigger and more powerful.Bibibu wrote: June 24th, 2021, 9:39 pm The feathers were so fluffed up von Kaia.
Will Kaia stay in the nest to watch over the chicks?!
I'm curious about that too.
Sorry, I just can't get it translated any better.

Our little princess is very brave and very clever.
She surprises me every day.
Edit: I didn’t hear or see the intruder(s) fly away…
Where are they?
It would be good if Karl II came home now to show them the exit for once and for all …
This stork did not fly away from the nest, but towards the nest.Biker wrote: June 24th, 2021, 10:01 pm![]()
He was very!!near.
at right side (on the) nest.
Also the landing shortly before could be heard.
he flew at 20:40:07
That’s so weird…Swenja wrote: June 24th, 2021, 10:07 pm This stork did not fly away from the nest, but towards the nest.
I think it is 2 strange storks.
Why can't it be 2 "yearlings" who wander through the areas?Anne7 wrote: June 24th, 2021, 10:21 pm That’s so weird…
Yes, probably there are 2 intruders.![]()
Usually it’s a single male that annoys a nest, one of the many male bachelors that didn’t find a mate. It’s a well known situation and behaviour (and a problem).
I can hardly imagine that there are 2 male bachelors here, together?
Oh, a gang of nasty youngsters.Swenja wrote: June 24th, 2021, 10:27 pm Why can't it be 2 "yearlings" who wander through the areas?
Too young for a nest and a family and too old for summer camp in the south.Hang out together.
