So the poop has vanished from the storklet's plumage, I guess with rain - so it was not at all a problem with the feathers in that case. And my first thought was the same as Urmas' that the white stripes are signs of white feathers not yet fallen out of their baby plumage. Thank you Urmas for bothering to inform us!
