11:48 a jay came for a visit. he/she found something to eat in the nest, a piece smaller than an acorn. then he/she jumped to the right branch and made the eagle imitation.

it's a male eagle's voice. he kept talking quite a long time, from 14:05:40 till 14:09:40 every now and then some calls... strange. maybe the ravens are teasing him? :puzzled:

16:20 willow tits again. they talked a lot.

how nice. :innocent:
their numbers have drastically decreased in the passed few decades.
they need half-rotten soft trees where they can dig and carve their own nest hollows. tree trunks which would be suitable for them are being cleaned away from forests and so willow tits can't breed. that is terribly sad.

16:24 again a willow tit.

16:26 again a willow tit on the right branches.
16:28:12 a treecreeper!

January 19

Good Morning :hi:

ame, thanks for videos and reporting :2thumbsup: :D
I haven't thought about the willow tit chances of survival till now. That sounds pretty sad! Unfortunately, this also applies to many other tree cave dwellers.
In Berlin I lived in a small forest with old trees. They started cutting down the trees. Gradually the birds disappeared. My tawny owl was the first to disappear. I was extremely unhappy about that!

5:56 the camera starts working
6:51:19 a tawny owl is calling
6:51:41 again
6:53 she is still calling
6:53:39 she sounds closer
6:55 still calling....
6:55:19 it's loud despite the wind
