Hello, I'm a Capercaillie fan from the USA!
I've watched for a few years now, and check in around the end of March for the new season. Are there any updates on the status of this cam? Hoping to see this gorgeous bird again!

Welcome, sharklight
I heard a rumour about this webcam about a week ago, but I will try to find a definite answer.

Capercaillie cam is physically installed in woods, but before publishing it needs some software justifications. Plus to test changed configuration during few days.
But I would like to ask another question - what is local time for you in US when Capercaillie display (lek)? Here it is for people too early morning, especially in western Europe and it is difficult to find the operators to the pan-tilt-zoom camera...
Maybe it is possible to operate Estonian nature cam from US?

@Urmas hello!
It's good to hear the cam is up and running. Here where I am Estonia is 10 hours ahead. From what I recall the Capercaillie are active in the evening, around midnight more or less, and it's a good time for me to watch them. If you're looking for someone to zoom etc. I have no problem and could help. I think they are so fascinating! Let me know how it goes.
