Probably one or two eggs are empty. Last year hatching was after 32,30,30 and 29 days.

asteria, :hi: you can't compare here with last year. It's another female and we have 6 eggs. moreover, none hatched after 29 days last year so far I know.

Yes, you're right, the figures are 33, 31,31 and 30 days because there are 31 days in May. But today already 35 days have passed since the first egg was laid. The period from starting constant incubation and hatching is about 30 days. So, it becomes clear if there are any empty eggs in this clutch.

asteria, I think we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
but the fact that no egg talk can be heard so far, may mean that an the first egg may not have been fertilized.
there is also the possibility that a chick has died in the egg.
That would explain the activity of the parents 2 days ago. They brought nest material.. maybe it was on the way and now- nothing

9:01 Jan came home :D

In my opinion they started serious incubation from April 18th!

Hello everyone
:hi: Liz, thanks for the pictures and reports...don't be so impatient. There is still enough work waiting for you (e.g. changing diapers, just having a little fun)

Hello Liz
rest assured that we in the background are all as unpatient as you are - checking the eggs, calculating the days and and judge if the PSs look healthy  ! Thank you for all you do! 🌻
“Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. They know the peaks and chasms of being.” (G. Kowalski) Caveat: Apart from this remarkable sentence I do not agree with his philosophies.
