today Dad brought only 1 fish, but they still had a big fishtail left in the morning for breakfast

this was a wonderful feeding, so peacefully,
Mum fed the whole fish alternately to the chicks,
she ate the fishtail, those crops were filled to the brim  :2thumbsup:

Thank you, balistar, for reporting and pics.

The poor fish from 15:15 was very floppy and still alive.
The chicks got some heavy flaps from his tailfin...fish fighted for his life, but is the food source from ospreys.

Birdfriend, i'm so happy about those peaceful feedings.

Oh, yes, this morning's delivery was very early, i assume Dad was hungry,
yesterday evening he came to collect the rest of the fish but there was nothing left for him,
the chicks and Mum had eaten it all 8-)

3.October

Sorry, a bit late, but have had no time to post earlier.
Yesterday, I saw a very friendly morning feeding. Dad brought fish at 7:59. Lil bob was placed in the middle of the trio. All got fair shares from this fish.

balistar, seira

Good morning, dear osprey family!
Image

7:10-7:15 Morning fight between 1 and 2, not nice too see, although I've it already often observed.
Later lil bit gets also "his share".
Maybe they are very hungry meanwhile.

2022.10.02 - Our Osprey are in need of some more nests. This nest was built on an old windmill tower on Boston Island by @Hugh Davis and it looks like it may have an interested tenant.
