Nice that we have a forum for this cam thanks for the great sightings you have already posted! I have two questions for you insiders:
- When I searched for myself (before I found this page) I had come up with the marsh tit (Poecile palustris) or willow tit. But for the heck of it I couldn't decide which, even with comparing closely with the pics in Wikipedia. You seem to be confident that they are willow tits - is there any sure-fire sign which they are? Or, perhaps it doesn't matter at all, don't know why I am so fussy
- On 22 November I saw this fellow on the cam. After long searching I thought it was perhaps the Black redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros). What do you say? Edit: She looks a bit funny around the bill, that is because she is holding a sunflower seed in it all the time. :)

“Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. They know the peaks and chasms of being.” (G. Kowalski) Caveat: Apart from this remarkable sentence I do not agree with his philosophies.

Hello Asjka!
Nice that you participate here.
This is a greenfinch. Thanks for these great pictures
Regarding the tits twin species:
Visually I can distinguish them only by the beak, which of course is usually very difficult to see:
The marsh tit has a bright spot at the base of the upper beak.
Other differences from the willow tit are a small chin patch and the absence of bright wing patches.

Hello Askja, Biker has already explained it.
The best way to recognise them is by their voice.
The marsh tit is rather rare.

Hi Biker and IceAge
Yes I have seen such acrobatics by the magpie too, and the jay once slipped when he hung nearly upside down on the wire - hilarious!
12:49 I have taken these two pictures within 11 seconds, it was like in the mirror hall at the fun fair :
15:13 "I want this all!... I want the big piece!... Jayyy, gotcha!"
I promise to post not many GIFs!
Thank you two for your explanations! I have also listened to the song/calls on xeno-canto, and I believe I have heard a willow tit on several occasions outside my home, not so long ago. So I've learned something and will look out for it.
(At least the crested tit has something substantial to identify it :))
