I'm holding my breath... fingers, toes, all crossed and thumbs pressed!
“Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. They know the peaks and chasms of being.” (G. Kowalski) Caveat: Apart from this remarkable sentence I do not agree with his philosophies.

:hi: all!

00:38 the male can be heard in a distance, mating sound 00:38:33
00:39 an eagle owl lands on a branch behind and above the nestbox
00:41 flies off towards the cam and lands on... the microphone?, then some hooting, it was the male
00:51 an owl lands on the upper large branch at the right, I cannot make out who it is.

It sits there quietly and listens intently to the sound of some bird. After a moment it even turns round, back to the cam, and tried to see something out there. "Weet-weet...weet-weet.." Can anyone enlighten me what bird that was, please?

01:06 flies off to the left; then male and female can be heard together
01:07 the male comes back to his place on the large branch to the right
01:10 he takes off to the left
03:17 male and female can be heard talking; another mating
03:18 male arrives at the branch in the foreground, hooting
03:23 he flies away

00:40 Male sitting in a tree behind the nestbox
Image

00:56 Bubo listening and peering into the darkness (I believe it's the male)

She sees someone
Image

7:19 male is hooting nearby
7:22 crows are calling
she is resting and does not move

I wonder if there is already an egg. 6:24:52 she made noises. For everyone who wants to check it out. I will do it later

I check it right now .. she was preparing the nest
6:20 she settles down..
6:23 preening the right wing feathers
6:24:38 the noises .. and went in another position.. a kind of wiggle
since then, she is not moving till now at 7:47

I found a video , thanks to Bea !
so it looks like if an eagle owl is laying an egg- I think there is still no egg in the nest :puzzled: however, the birds all react differently. There are some that make noises when they lay an egg, some don't.

after watching the whole video. We would see, if she is laying an egg
