11:22 Milda got up and shook her feathers. then she rolled the eggs.

11:25 Voldis brought hay. Milda talked softly...
she has become drier. at least her head is not so wet any more.
11:27 Voldis flew out.
Milda got up. her "dress" is still wet, and her wings. she shook them. then back to the eggs.

16:05 she gave the eggs a long and profound rolling. (not an "egg roll" but rather "egg baguette". )

Hello from Finland!

It is so wonderful to start "bird watching" again :loveshower: , I have waited this so much.
Hope this year everything goes well and we can see mom, dad and the chicks all healthy fly south in the end of the season.

hello pirkkokn and welcome to the new season! :2thumbsup:

16:39 Milda rolled the eggs.

17:14 a great tit sang near the nest.
Milda is looking in the meadow with long neck...

she has been doing that since about 15:23. there must be something (someone) interesting on the ground. an interesting bird would have flown by and away ages ago. (it's not necessarily a mammal. there can be a bird on the ground, too. )
i haven't been able to see what she is looking at. :puzzled:

18:17 Milda was still looking around, very attentively...
she called softly ka-ka-ka several times... once in about a minute.
then she talked less frequently but she remained alert...
18:34 she relaxed and began to preen.
nothing much happened.

March 22

good morning!

it was somewhat windy night so i didn't find anything interesting.
04:52 Mrs and Mr Tawny Owl called far.
(i made this clip partly to keep an example of what the wind sounded like in the night.)

Voldis seems to be in nest duty.

a few reservations....
