A nuthatch visit the box


is gone I was in worry. I have a video from a Black Stork nest. A nuthatch picked at the egg. I think it broke

This is wonderful news, haven't checked in, in a couple of days and the first thing I see is the female lying in the nest. Great job everyone involved!

So far, Mrs. Buba did have a quiet night. Not so much to eat, though. She does a lot of listening, it must be strange for her at the beginning, when in other nights she could roam and hunt.

21:41 the male can be heard faintly, female gets up and out - supper in sight? Then we hear an intensive conversation between the two nearby, and for afters a mating.
21:47 female comes back and stands on the edge of the box for a minute or two, then settles on her egg.

00:18 the male calls briefly but she gives no sign.
03:50 the female gets up, listens a moment and flies away. Nearby we can hear male and female again, they have a lot to say to each other.
03:58 she's back in the nest, dripping wet. I think it was a thunderstorm, I saw some lightning.

Crows better don't mess with a eagle owl. I will never forgot the nest of Bubo & Bo. Their pantry was full with dead crows
