Mrs. B has rarely moved so far; no hooting could be heard outside; the weather is still terrible and the cam partly caked with snowflakes.

Also thanks Polly for your post on avian mobbing! Just today I have seen (on the Rigimets shore webcam) how a hooded crow mobbed a WTE; he fled when a few more crows arrived ready to join in.

19:19 Now this was soo sweet: the male arrived at the large branch with a prey, then hopped into the nestbox. When the female didn't grab it, he laid it down - onto her back! He got a "parting kiss" and left. She found the prey only when she moved, then she put it in the back of the nest.
