12:27 ff.: E 340 rises - could you call that an" egg-rolling"? It was more a 360°-turn-around for himself. And of course, the egg had to be placed properly. Not so easy, but with time, they will gain more and more experience with handling the precious one(s). And up to now, they are really doing a good job. -

15:19: A WTE lands on the top of the left branch. We cannot see any distinctive features. E 340 calls, but stays glued to the egg.

Sounds: like breaking branches, or maybe crashing, a WTE is seen circling over the meadow.

15:26: She flies away once more.
15:27: She enters the nest with a big bunch of material.



E 340 makes place and leaves at 15:28.
I'll review this. Was there a third eagle involved or not? Not sure.

09:07: Amazing flight show by E 340. He soars and circles over the meadow again and again, with a nice bunch of hay in his claws. 'Smiley' is softly asking for a change.
09:09:E 340 arrives at the nest.



He begins to incorporate the material:



... and takes a nap, head tucked in his back feathers.

Several egg rolls and change of position by E 340.



Known in the YT-chat as "the cute sleeper" - thanks to this privileged cam view right into the nest.
The weather is perfect today: A little windy, sunny (energy supply for the cam!), maybe cold - but eagles are not made of sugar, they are used to weather conditions far worse which would make us humans rather stay inside. They are outdoor creatures through and through.
Good question in the YT-community: Why was E 340 flying like this over the meadow until he finally entered the nest? I think this exercise has several meanings. He demonstrates his qualities as supplier of material, showing his female again and again: I can do it, can you see me? Second: I could imagine that this extended 'flight show' is also signalling: my territory, in case you others haven't realized it yet. This meadow is mine. Third: the pure joy of flying around, carrying a load. - But these are just my ideas.

11:48: 'Smiley' arrives - with more lichen-covered sticks and twigs.



11:51: E 340 leaves from the p-branch.
12:10: 'Smiley' sees something and calls.
12:13: Egg roll.
Now she has found a good position, the wind gusts may be really strong today.

12:44: And again. Padding the nestbowl. Always watching the surroundings.

15:19 ff.: Soft begging calls, I'd say. A WTE flies over the meadow from the left to the right. He answers her calls, this should be E 340. She continues with her soft calling, another egg roll. Ka-ka. - No, he will probably get something for the nest first. At least, he is not far.
15:27: But this takes too long - she leaves the nest.



15:28/29: Branching on a top at the left, E 340 soars down onto the nest and covers the egg.



Due to the wind, he had to circle a few times in order to find a safe entry.

He has watched the area at the right very attentively for 2 or three minutes before calling, then this disturbing individual must have moved to the area behind the cam, although probably not very close (I haven't noticed any noises such as wing flaps), and E 340 vocally clearly states who is in charge of the territory.



Currently (09:56) sleeping - he surely has a talent for saving and renewing energy in these times.
