10:06 Female went to sleep.
So far I haven't heard the male till now. That doesn't mean much. There are so loud noises that I can't find anything in the video.
the camera lens is almost clear. It's not snowing anymore. I really hope the weather will improve
theoretically she could lay a fourth egg tonight. For me 3 are enough. The fourth chick is always very, very small compared to the siblings.
I recently saw four owlets in a great horned owl nest.
10:14 the middle spotted woodpecker is calling.
10:38 a crow is calling near.
11:21 she's still sleeping. No sign from the male till now
11:48 looks like it is raining or the snow is smelting

And thanks, Liz!

Our female has a quiet night again, richly deserved after last night's tempest! Nothing much has happened;
- she got up and rolled the eggs about once every hour.
- the male has not been heard or seen.
“Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. They know the peaks and chasms of being.” (G. Kowalski) Caveat: Apart from this remarkable sentence I do not agree with his philosophies.

It's got a bit more windy again but fortunately no snow. Again there has not much happened since midnight.
- the female has barely moved more than her head between egg care
- she has rolled the eggs about once per hour
- she is now taking some time, ca. a minute each time, for loosening up the floor of the nest after rolling;
e.g. 03:17:20 - 03:18:10
- she has not been out of the nest
- I have neither seen nor heard the male at all
03:17 Aerating the nest bowl - storks have it so much easier than owls, with their long bills!

All!
Thanks Liz for the pics in the beautiful afternoon sun!
23:40 The stream is back!
23:40 As the cam comes back, probably with the night light clicking, Mrs. B. hears it and turns her head towards us

00:01 the female gets up slowly and flies away. I believe I have also heard the male, but not sure with the great background noise.
00:11 female returns to the nest and covers the eggs.
00:42 Mrs. B. sees something and cranes her neck.
01:53 the female gets up and flies out. I hear one of the couple hooting, but I cannot say who - I believe it was she.
02:00 she returns, rolls the eggs and settles down.
00:42 Craning her neck - what does she see?

I have to go earlier today, and will be away for the week. But I may post via mobile phone if I happen to see something noteworthy at night :)
