but he seems a little puzzled by the appearance of the nest,

Kergu's arrival . Sorry, the first few seconds are jerky when he arrives. there are disturbances in the transmission.

8:30 Kergu seems a bit undecided. he plucks here and there and pauses again. He looks as if he is surprised about this nest - is it his at all? should he really work on it?

9:00 Kergu sing a little song

and relaxes with his beak between the feathers of his breast.

9:47 Kergu sings from time to time.
although the singing always sounds like lamentation to human ears. :puzzled:

9:30 Kergu is doing a little housework - but something obviously doesn't feel alright. He started to .. sing.

I think it is the large branches, since he seemed quite uncertain when he arrived. He does not seem to like them on the nest. Now he has to build a new nest basically on top of it to make it comfortable from where I am observing this. I might be wrong, though. Just my personal observation.

Kergu checked the comfort of the nest with these new logs with tests in two directions .... maybe not so bad at all, Kergu? :D

Kergu came back with a bunch of dry grass and left again at 06:06

Next bunch of dry nest material is coming in and Kergu leaves again at 06:11

06:17 - A longer dry branch is brought in
06:22 - A bunch of moss comes in
06:28 - A longer dry branch arrives
06:37 - A beak full of long grass material
06:44 - A long dry branch
06:51 - A long dry branch

07:46 - Kergu is back, from breakfast?

Preening, resting, waiting, nest construction

09:33 - Kergu leaves
09:36 - back with a mix of moss and long dry grass
09:56 - back with dry moss

12:01 - Kergu is back after a longer break, without any nest material
