it is a little off topic, but ...

I can hardly watch how the two smallest have to fight or are pushed back. from a human point of view it is very mean to treat the little ones so badly and i would love to adopt them and raise them by hand.

Thank you Swenja and Anne for the wonderful pictures and videos that allow us to observe the behavior of the small family so intensively.

An older chick manages to eat the frog.

#4 lay on his back for a short time.



3 seconds later it was sitting again.

To be honest, I didn't even pay attention to what Kaia had to eat.
I'm just happy that #4 is so agile today and taking advantage of being small.

So at 06:12-15, #1 (I think) ate a few fish and swallowed a frog that required quite an effort to eat. #2 (I think) ate 8 fish in my count. Both of them had a bulge sticking on the side of their necks at the end. By 09:05, that stuffed crops are gone and they're begging for more food.

This is quite a digestion process for a bird that hatched 7 days ago.

One of the older chicks fell over. #2

#2 is a nervous eater when hungry.
At first #2 fell over because it was so focused on starting the meal. Then it made a mistake and thought the meal had already started and courageously grabbed a bunch of moss. It spat it out again just as courageously.



#2 wanted to eat a big fish, but from the wrong side. So it spit it out of its beak again. And because there were other goodies, #2 didn't pay attention to the fish anymore and #1 took it away. This was noticed by #2 at some point and #2 took the fish back.



And finally #2 could eat this fish and became calm, because finally he was full.



All chicks have eat. But one in particular much. #2
#1, #3 and #4 were able to tear something off the fish.

#2 is not hungry.
#1 and #3 have eaten. #4 did not really get the food. But got himself a bite.







#4 is waiting for Karl II and fodder.
