MAR. 22.

06.49 Cam on nest 1 during the night. It shows that this old nest now is used as a dining table. Feathers from yestersdays prey is seen in the middle of the nest. The prey - a smaller bird - was brought to the female on nest 2 at 15.20 yesterday - and taken to nest 1 and eaten there.

APR. 12.

07.44 A treecreper on the run.

Very little to see at nest2 from the distance.
And soon fresh leaves might cover the view into the nest even more.
But we will be able to see the outcome of this breeding try.

APR. 24

As predicted is it now after leaf spring almost impossible to see what is going in in the nest.
Some viewers write that they have seen small eagle chicks above the nest edge.
And feeding of ckicks.

Anyway here is what Ole Friis and Kim Skelmose tell us around the breeding attempt. Written on the 4. of april.:

Kim Skelmose has noted that the female with the Swedish color rings laid down to incubate on 10 March. In general, White-tailed Eagles incubate the eggs for 40 days before they hatch, so we are going around April 20 this year - but there is also individual variation, so it can only be an approximate date.

View of today into nest 2. With an almost closed window
