April 13

Kergu starts the day, as he does every day, with nest work.
He fetches nest material and spreads it around the nest.

I am so sorry for Kergu.
He stands at the top of the tree and sings repeatedly, but no female will/can hear him.

The more I look at this, the more I think this was a European Honey Buzzard.
Not a threat to Kergu and guarded chicks.

As far as I know, buteo buteo has light markings at the underside of its neck and belly, which should be visible on the video.

Kergu did some nest work this morning.

Image

Sometimes an animal passes under the nest.
It looks like a deer.

Image

Image

09:01 He flies up into the tree. There he sings a short song.

15:50 I don't think Kergu will be up in the tree all day. Surely he will be out and about.
Waiting for his return.

That's the prettiest buzzard I've ever seen. I looked it up, it really does look like that. Your buzzard looks more like our hawks over here. Our buzzards are dark with red heads.
