April 22nd

09:55 - ?

The female again, I think.
And again she crashes into the edge of the nest when she lands. I do not know why. It's the 2nd time I've seen it.

She calls, lays sticks and twigs, shapes the edge of the nest.

Unfortunately the stream stops.

April 27th

Nest 'Birch' hasn't been running for a long time.

°°°

And there is no breeding here in Nest 'Fir' either.
That doesn't mean there aren't any interesting visits.

A hazel grouse makes itself comfortable.

May 3rd

A buzzard visits the nest twice that day.
Appears to be a bit agitated and 'growling'. Seems he's not alone.

At the end a deer (or elk?) roars.

Nest 'Birch'

The stream didn't run for a long time.
During this time the nest was well lined with twigs. There will definitely not be any breeding this season. But perhaps this nest was 'marked'.

This eagle was seen on May 5th.

Nest 'Birch'

Strange noises arise. :D
A mallard duck in the middle of the forest?

Why not. Maybe there is a body of water in the area.

There is delicate movement in Nest 'Birch'.

Male?, excited and flighty...
later a partner could be heard.

While there is absolute eerie silence in 'Fir 1 & 2', there is hope for 2025 in the nest 'Birke', which was believed to be dead.

I watch all three nests daily.
Here is the playlist for 'Birke'.

May 30th

Today there was supposed to be a gift for the female.
The gift resulted in an attack by a ural owl...

I was just surprised that it can be found under "other Latvian cameras" but I think it doesn't matter?

Hi Liz, I know.
The topic is very confusing here in the forum. I mentioned this a while ago.

The three (silent) nests that I still observe and documented are never frequented anyway and I stuck to what I consider to be a constant 'position'.

It doesn't matter to me anymore. I will no longer be active.
I wish more attention would be paid to the quiet sounds. Because they are the beginning...
My fulfillment is no longer here.

Best regards
:innocent: :2thumbsup:

Polly, everything has changed a lot. You need a lot of motivation to document things here on your own.
So, I understand you very well! And I think it's a pity that so many member don't want to be here anymore. It was great for a long time. It was...

all the best to you :2thumbsup: :D
